Adult  Choir
Rehearsals: Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Before Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, rehearsal times are extended to 9:00 p.m.

About the Choir: The adult choir at St. Peter’s is open to anyone who enjoys singing and is looking for a way to praise God in song. No previous musical experience is required. However, it is helpful for members to be able to commit to our performance schedule. We generally sing at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday mornings from September through the 1st Sunday in June; however, on occasion we sing at the 5:15 p.m. Mass on Saturday or the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday. Palm Sunday the choir sings at both the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Masses. In addition to Sunday Mass, we sing for special feast days and holy days. High school youth grades 10-12 are also invited to join the adult choir.

Adult Bell Choir
Rehearsals: Thursday evenings from 5:45 – 6:45 p.m., September through May.

About the Choir: The adult bell choir is open to anyone in the parish who reads music and is interested in this exciting ministry. It is particularly suited to those (including high school youth) who play another musical instrument. The adult bell choir plays at all special feast days and many holy days and once or twice a year at one of the weekend Masses as well.

Youth Choir
Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings from 5:30 – 6:25 p.m., on all scheduled Religious Education days, September through April.

About the Choir: The Youth Choir is open to parish youth in 3nd grade through high school. Exceptions can be made for 2nd graders who read well. The Youth Choir sings at the Thanksgiving Day Mass, the 4:00 Mass on Christmas Eve, and the 9:00 Mass on Easter Sunday. Other ordinary time Masses are being considered.

Youth Bell Choir
Rehearsals: To be determined. Ten (10) bell ringers are needed before rehearsal and performance schedules can be set.

About the Choir: The Bell Choir is open to youth in the parish with note reading ability. This activity is well suited to those who already play another musical instrument. You do not have to be in the Youth Choir to be part of the Youth Bell Choir.

Other Instrumentalists:

St. Peter’s is always in need of people who can play a musical instrument at a level of ability that would inspire prayerful reflection and serve as accompaniment to the various choirs or cantors. A flute, oboe, an occasional guitar, or any instrument would add greatly to any mass.

Liturgy Committee and Environment Volunteers
Meeting Times: 2nd Wednesday of the month, September through May, 7:00 p.m.

About the Committee: The Liturgy Committee and environment volunteers support the Pastor and Liturgy Director. The Liturgy Committee assists in planning liturgical celebrations that convey a very rich and real communal experience that speaks to the total person, both intellectually and emotionally. Members of this committee are also integrally involved in the Church Environment which includes decorating the Church for major seasonal liturgies such as Christmas and Easter.

Environment volunteers assist the Liturgy Director in a number of ways: in preparing the church for liturgical celebrations such as serving as Parish Sacristan – keeping the Sacristy clean and tidy and the holy water fonts cleaned and filled each week; by sewing – volunteers sew altar cloths, banners, and other items as needed; and by participating in the preparation of the Church for Christmas, Easter, and other special liturgies.
