St. Peter's offers religious education for youth ages four and up. Classes are held at the Parish Center from September through April.

The mission of the St. Peter's Religious Education and Youth Ministry Program is to assist the students' growth in their relationship with God based on knowledge of their Catholic faith, expressed through prayer, worship, and service to others. Recognizing the role of parents as the primary witnesses of faith, the staff works with parents to accomplish the goal of witnessing to the Gospel message.

Many activities take place during the year for youth ministry and religious education participants, including:

  • Grade-level liturgies throughout the year.
  • All-School liturgy and potluck held at the end of the school year with all grade levels participating.
  • Family Gathering Night for students and families during family month in November.
  • NET Team (National Evangelization Team) retreats. Students in all levels help with the Ladies Guild Bazaar.
  • Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday with children of all levels helping to raise money for the hungry and needy in our Madison community.
  • Diocesan youth rallies and retreats.

Teachers are always needed to help bring the important message of Christ to our youth. There are also numerous other areas in which help is needed, such as substitute teaching, baking, sewing, helping at retreats, set-up and clean-up for events.
