From the Desk of Msgr. Charles

As you read this letter I am in Colorado Springs with our students and adult leaders at Catholic Heart Work Camp. We departed early on Thursday morning and spent our first night in Kearney, NE, named after nearby Fort Kearny, an Army outpost on the Oregon Trail.

On Friday we departed after breakfast and stopped for a picnic lunch at Fort Morgan, NE. In the afternoon we arrived at Palmer Park in Colorado Springs for hiking and a cookout. Then on to the Roadway Inn, our residence for two nights and mine for the rest of the week.

On Saturday we left on our coach bus for a tour of the Air Force Academy, lunch at Garden of the Gods, and then to Cheyenne Mountain Park for more hiking and a cookout.

Work Camp begins on Sunday afternoon with arrival at Divine Redeemer Catholic School, orientation, Mass, dinner and an evening program. On Monday we begin four days of hard work, with departure on Friday and arrival at St. Peter’s on Saturday evening.

Please keep us all in prayers and be assured of ours for you.
